Born and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, writer Christine Rogel developed an early passion for the people and culture of the West. Currently based in Bozeman, Montana, she is the editor-in-chief of Western Art & Architecture and the copy editor of Big Sky Journal. During her career, she’s covered immigration, education, and business in Arizona and New Mexico, and was the editor of a weekly publication for the Las Cruces Sun-News. Rogel earned a master’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University with an emphasis in writing and digital media. She views journalism as a lifelong education in the world.
