Star Dipping and Serving Set by Kamsah

This handmade ceramic plate might just end up being the life of the party due to its functionality, unique design, and lively colors. Perfect for serving appetizers and dips, the star-shaped plate holds six removable star-ray trays surrounding the center bowl. Kamsah was founded in 2015 by two Tunisian brothers who seek out uncommon handcrafted pieces made by local artisans around the globe. The star plates are made by local women earning a fair wage in Neapolis, Tunisia, a town renowned for ceramics creations. We love the functionality of this design and that Kamsah gives 10 percent of its profits to causes that benefit its artisans.

San Geronimo Rocking Chair by MasayaCo

Masaya’s products are handcrafted with wood harvested from their own reforestation projects, for which they’ve planted more than 1.2 million trees to date. The Nicaragua-based company coined the term “seed to seat” to reflect its commitment to sustainability through every aspect of the creation process, and the San Geronimo Rocking Chair is a perfect example. MasayaCo’s team of 300 artisans use traditional carpentry and weaving techniques to create each rocker from sustainably sourced solid teak. This pattern was designed in-house and inspired by traditional festivities for the patron saint of Masaya, a city in southern Nicaragua.

Manson Morris Wallpaper by Ever Atelier

A touch of the absurd is combined with traditional class in this wallpaper that features eye-catching floral designs, historic scientific motifs, and muted tones in the background that allow the pinks and blues to pop. “We wanted a fresh, updated take on a classic, historical repeat with anatomical art added to create interest,” says artist Ash Leftwich, who, along with Sarah English, designed the Manson Morris pattern. Part of the “Loves Enough” collection, it’s rooted in true historical coloring and inspired by botanical, anatomical, and other vintage elements to create an edgy and avant-garde style. Available in four standard colorways — and custom hues — this wallpaper would make for a unique backdrop in an office or home library.

Midnight Sky Drum Pendant

by Janna Ugone & Co.

Janna Ugone started incorporating her artwork into functional home decor in 1987, and today, her lamp and pendant light creations are designed and fabricated in Easthampton, Massachusetts, by a small team of artisans. Based on Ugone’s original hand-painted illustration, the Midnight Sky drum shade features twinkling constellations, including Orion, Cassiopeia, the Big Dipper, and Triangulum. Each lamp shade is initially produced with their in-house giclée printer before being hand-cut, assembled, and painted to accentuate the starry details. The hardware is also sculpted in-house, and each piece is signed and dated. We love the nature-inspired theme and how the design glows when lit.

Shade: 16, 18, and 20 inches

Stoic Vase  & Touchstones by Lee Gordon

Award-winning New England-based artist Lee Gordon has been blowing glass since 2008, and much of his work is inspired by the natural environments around his coastal home in Maine. Gordon layers molten glass in earth-toned hues, patterns, and textures using an abstract painterly technique that infuses elements of the landscape into his creations. The results are unique hand-blown works of functional art, with collections that include his signature Touchstone Sculptures, Marsh View Series Vases, drinkware, and home decor. We love the unconventional flowy shape of the Touchstone pieces, made with blown glass with silver leaf, and the colors that contrast with the vibrant blue glass in the Stoic Vase, part of the Marsh View Series.

Stoic Vase: 10 x 9 x 3 inches; $595

Beaded Bandanas by Jackson Hole Beadwork

Jackson Hole Beadwork is the creative output of artist Lillie Lauterbach, inspired by her countless unique experiences in nature and crafted in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Lauterbach’s intention is to push the boundaries of beaded design by constructing her creations off-loom, primarily using a square-stitch technique. Her neckwear pieces are the culmination of an in-depth iterative process, resulting in the merging of thousands of tiny beads that, together, establish various patterns. Each is finished with soft vegan leather backing and deerskin ties. We love Lauterbach’s decorative take on bandanas, the lively colors, and the options for fringe or more simple designs.
